    I noticed that if the file is .php it won't give a forbidden error but if its .html it will. What do I edit in httpd.conf in order to add .html to my list?

    grabyourhosting:

    Check your httpd.conf (/usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf

    Entries/Configurations such as:

    <IfModule mod_dir.c>
    DirectoryIndex index.html index.wml index.cgi index.shtml index.jsp index.js
    index.jp index.php4 index.php3 index.php index.phtml index.htm default.htm default.html home.htm
    </IfModule>

    What are you showing on the apache error_log when trying to open the index.html at the browser level?
