I was hoping to find some direction. I am trying to install WP on Cpanel on a subdomain (subdomain.domain.com). I created the subdomain in cpanel, but for some reason when I go to the url it shows me what is in the picture attached and the text below.

This site can’t be reached
topnosh.example.com’s server IP address could not be found.

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

I have been using cpanel on my own server for a decade and I never have an issue with it, I am working on someone else's server/cpanel and something obviously must be different. I can't figure out what could be causing the subdomain to not work. Could it be a dns issue or something else? Thanks!

Not any more. Just checked again. When it worked earlier it was just an index.html I guess with a line of text and a link as I recall.
It seems that cpanel isn't adding the dns that I need. The account doesn't allow me to update the dns. So I am assuming I need to add the right records for it to my domain registrar? Does that sound right? What would the record look like. A record? subdomain.domain.com and the ip?

The subdomain is working again, a snip of the text on the page:

If the main domain's DNS is set up properly, the subdomain should work. You can check the main domain's DNS on a site like intodns.com for example.

You might find the docs of some use:
