Named seems to be using too much CPU time I can't figure out why.

Mysql is high too ?

Any suggestion how to troubleshoot this ?

Thanks.

from what you are showing everything looks fine to me, mysql always runs a bit hot when used but that isnt even starting to heat up by the looks.

I'm more concerned about named... seems really high for what it is...

This is when its been working for a while sorted by time used:
9948 named 20 0 35468 6356 2112 S 0.7 0.6 2:07.36 named
4559 root 17 0 10512 2464 1500 S 1.0 0.2 0:21.45 authProg
3203 root 34 19 13216 8508 1788 S 0.0 0.8 0:20.11 cpanellogd
4159 root 16 0 10512 2428 1500 S 0.0 0.2 0:20.05 authProg
2361 root 17 0 10512 2472 1496 S 0.0 0.2 0:19.93 authProg
2360 root 16 0 3240 1572 1204 S 0.0 0.2 0:18.35 antirelayd

notice named is 2 hours while the next in line is not even close...

Hi,

Mysql usage was explained by Andy Read & kistler. I think you are more bothered about the optin "Time+" . Its acutllay "Total CPU time the named process has used since it started". And this might have caused due to various problems as others has said(actually i assume its not an issue).

Give us more information

Why do you think MySQL using 1.0% of cpu resources is high? if you want help you need to give use more information like the system load. If the system load is really high it's not because MySQL is using 1.0%.
