server load tracking

    Please assist me if the sever was overloaded before last 5 hours and ATM the load is normal then how can I track the exact abuser who overloaded the sever?

    What logs needs to check ?

    if you have the apache log format defined to log the PID of the processes in the httpd logs then you can parse that out - however you would need to know the process IDs of what was causing high load at the time, if you dont have that its quite difficult to track down.

    Well first thing is to check the user, WHM > Server Status > Daily Process Log

    Depending on what you set your server to reconise a high load as, They will show in yellow or red and will show the file whats causing the load.
