very complicated topic this will be

i'm running 3 webservers, supercool, running like hell, never got a problem with it

now i'm hosting some webspace to an other place, the admin off that webspace is i think little bit stu****

the problem on that webspace is that serverload is continue more then 2.5

host is superslow, ftp has time outs, ... so i start a discusion with the admin of that (lets say) company

    i qoute :
    Code:
Ik heb contact opgenomen met Cpanel Support en zij zeggen het volgende:

De load werkt niet met %, maar op basis van seconden.
Cpanel zelf zegt dat een load van ongeveer 2 héél goed is

    i translate :

    Code:
i had contact with cpanel support and they say :

Serverload isnt working with %, but the working is based on seconds.
Cpanel support says that a load from about 2.00 very good is
so, what i wanne know, is this guy realy fooling me, or did cpanel support say that realy

    sorry for my bad english

    grz bambi

It depends on how your server is setup.

If you have a dual machine, 2.0 is ok but you want to strive for lower.

The best way is to keep the load as low as possible.

2.5 continue on a normal webserver is in fact not so good.
You can have peaks (example : Stats updates etc.)

It also depends wich cpu is used.
2.5 on a celeron 1.7 will slow your cpanel/whm verry much down.
But if you use Dual you wil not notice it.

Backups and Logs will spike the loads tremendously on Cpanel servers. It slows the Cpanel access, but webpages will still load quickly.
