    Hello All,

I am using WHM 6.2.0 on RH 7.3. Last week I upgraded the WHM from 6.0. The server load goes up t0 30% and in 30 secs comes down to 1.2 or 0.50 . When I run ps -aux to see the load of each process I see user nobody "httpd" with consuming maximum server resources. How do I trace the httpd process?

    Thank you,

Did you upgrade your kernel? I did and facing the same problem. Server load increases suddenly and again comes down after few seconds.

    Anyone else having susch problem..?

Should I degrade the kernel again from 2.4.18-27.7.x to 2.4.18-3
    ?

I would really appreciate any reply on this.

    Thank you.

I have seen similar increased load on our plesk server where the kernel was upped to 2.4.18-27.7.x . Goes down as suddenly as it goes up.

    Regards
    Manish.

To answer this question, and not the kernel problems,

    turn server-status on in httpd.conf

    set order deny,allow
    deny from all
    allow from 127.0.0.1
    lynx http://localhost/server-status
