Everyday at 4am my server locks up. It is bnot the backup cron doing it. I am having a hard time pinning it down. I think some cron job is causing the lock-up but I can't figure out which one and why.

Any suggestions would be gratuitously accepted :)

    Running latest versions of cpanel..whm...
    Thanks

If you think any cron is locking up the server then you can check cron logs for 4Am which will provide you with the cron that is running.
And accordingly you disable or optimized it.

Under tweak settings, I unchecked awstats reverse dns resolution. The box didn't freeze up on me this morning. Keep your fingers crossed.

Aside from log checking and everything else a quick and dirty way is to also just leave a top open and see what is last on it when it goes down. Often times that will give yuo an idea of what is going on.
