It's all generally pretty easy as long as you don't have any custom applications, dependencies, or odd builds of apache/php ect. If your not sure if you do, then either, you don't, or you need to ask your server admin.

From there, your going to log into each cpanel account that you want to move, and do a full backup. Transfer that backup to /home on your new server, and then from WHM do a "Restore a Full Backup/cpmove file" (it's in the menu) this will change all the IP's/Ponters that you need to change for you.

Then just update your domain info to point to your new name servers.

    Friend,

There are many steps to be taken care of during migration and ip switch. First do a test migration and then you will understand more.

Below are the steps that I have followed:

    1. Fully configure new server with the exact settings that you have in old server like Apache, PHP versions, PHP disabled functions, Fantastico (if using), Firewall etc.
    2. Set up nameservers on new server.
    3. Test the nameservers of new server if they are working properly.
    4. Start copying account from WHM -> copy and account from another server option on new server if you find all the settings ok in your new server.
    5. Go to WHM -> Edit DNS Zone on old server and point all the records to new server IP address, once you transfer a account to new server.
    6. Migrate main domain domain (which you may using for the nameservers in your old server) to new server.
    7. Change the ns1 and ns2 records of main domain in order to point them to new servers nameservers.
    8. Change the nameservers IP address from child nameservers option from domain registrar end.

I hope you will get some help from this.

    Thanks!

The express transfer option in the account transfer interface does the equivalent of step 5 in your list.
