Hi Everyone,

I'm not much experienced with CPanel. I have a question that if I just sync the /backup/cpbackup/daily folder of a server to another and use the WHM "Restore Multiple Backups" feature on destination server, will it work just like the way pkgacct+restorepkg would work? If there will be any different behavior please let me know.

I know its not traditional method, but for some reasons I need to migrate servers like that.

Thanks a lot for reading.

Regards

Hi Usman. Welcome to cPanel forums. I hope you enjoy your stay here.

Yes, it should work the same way. You can even have the backups in /home directoy. Then restore it using the option "Backup » Restore a Full Backup/cpmove File" as root.

Hello :)

Yes, this will allow you to restore the accounts on the destination server. Remember to enable "Incremental Backup" on the destination server if that option is enabled on the source server via "WHM Home >> Backup >> Configure Backup".

Thank you.
