    Hi,

    I got a mail from server with following:

    ===========
    This is an automated status warning from host.avissoftware.com. The process (2766) has exceeded defined resource limits, as such a kill signal was invoked from the process resource monitor.

    - Event Summary:
    USER: nobody
    PID : 2766
    CMD : /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd
    CPU%: 0 (limit: 55)
    MEM%: 1 (limit: 25)
    PROCS: 88 (limit: 75)
    =================

    Then another mail saying:

    ==========
    apache failed @ Tue Aug 30 07:08:55 2005. A restart was attempted automagicly.
    ==========

    Why this is happenign ? Its happening almost everyday. How do i stop this ?

    Thanks.

    Are you using PRM or /etc/security/limits.conf ..then check out the limits and resources assigned to nobody and try tweaking them to a better value...also find the cause of such high load on the server.
