When I go into my WHM and check my server status the server load seems to always have a red exclamation mark.
    What does that mean?

    Here is what it says:
Server load 4.34 (8 CPUs) (red exclamation mark)

    Hello attroll,

It seems that some processes on your server are using high CPU. You can check using command "top -d2" from shell of your server or you can check the it from WHM >> System Health >> Process Manager; then kill the process or you can restart the service which is using high resources. If the problem persist you need to do more analysis.

    Hello :)

The alert (red exclamation) you are seeing is controlled by the following option under the "Status" tab in "WHM >> Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings":

    "Critical load threshold"

The value entered is the minimum load average for overall system load display purposes that will cause the server status to appear red. If a server load of 4 is normal on your system, you can increase the value for this option to avoid seeing the alert.

If your server load is higher than normal, you can check to see which processes are using the most CPU and go from there.

    Thank you.
