We have some older servers we want to get rid of. The only problem is these still have Cpanel users on them. How effective is moving the customers to the new server using the Cpanel transfer? Also, one of these is a dns server...will that transfer over also?

I wouldn't bet the house on the cPanel move feature working or even moving backups over and using the restore feature. When they work, they work well. I would have a backup solution should things fall apart on you.

Works fine, just move accounts in WHM, and keep the window open overnight Next morning make sure all are a 'sucess' - Next go to where the DNS names are

Say DNS your changing is dns20.hostdime.com. Go

hostdime.com is at HostDimeDomains and the server dns is also obviously.
We would reregister the DNS with the new server IP, and alert your customers to make no changes to the page. Let them know the new temp URL. Theres no such thing as 100% uptime when moving accounts, so let your users know the ins and outs of DNS too.
