service status BUG!

    Hello,

    We want to create a "Feature list" in "WHM > Packages > Feature Manager" and disable "Server Status Viewer" for that featured list.

    Clients that belong to mentioned feature list, shouldn't be able to view the "service status" link from Cpanel and also shouldn't be able to view the service status through it's direct link -- like this link: https://MyIP:2083/frontend/x/status.html --.

    When we did the above scenario, we could just disable the "service status" in Cpanel, for the clients belong to created feature list, but those clients still can view "service status" by it's direct link.

    Please guide us what should we do in order to make this change.
    If there is no way to make this, should we contact to Cpanel to recover this bug?

    Hmmm, speaking of bugs related to Service Status, has anyone else noticed that it will say a service is down even after it's been back up for a while?

    EG:
    Mysql goes down
    Service Status for mysql is red
    Mysql comes back up
    Service status for mysql is still red

    ???

    There will be up to an 8 minute lag in this as this is powered by chksrvd which checks the services once every 8 minutes.

    This isnt a bug it has always been this way... there used to be a note about it in the feature manager wonder where it went... Will ask about that.

    Ah, got it! Thank you for telling me - That would explain it. Are there any plans in the future to be able to adjust the frequency of chksrvd in the future? (Not to help service status, I'm curious otherwise.)

    Not that I'm aware of, but you're more than welcome to submit that as a feature request to http://bugzilla.cpanel.net
