SESS_ Tmp Files

    Hello friends,

    What are they? They are alot of sess_ files inmy linux /tmp directory.

    They are PHP session files - should be perfectly harmless.

    On our servers I usually wait till the off peak times and rm -f /tmp/sess* every 2 weeks or so

    Like webignition said they are php session files and unless I am mistaken most of them come from horde users

    They are harmless files and you can either remove them every so often or if you got the disk room you can leave them

    If you're not using phpsuexec you could recompile php with MM support which should store session data in shared memory instead of /tmp/ if you prefer.
