Hey what are the steps to set rdns for a domain through ssh

    I went to cd /var/named

    took domain.com.db

and I edited the files and added an entry for PTR reord

    173.224.32.in-addr.arpa 14400 IN PTR domain.com.domain.com.

Is this all for setting rdns for a domain in cpanel

    are their more steps?

    Hello :)

First, you must ensure your data center has delegated to you the ability to configure RDNS directly from the server. In most cases, you must make the RDNS request to the data center and they will setup the record for you. If they have delegated this ability to your server, you can follow the steps at:

    Configure Reverse DNS in WHM

    Thank you.
