don't strip the - from the username when setting up
a database for an addon domain

That's the first I've heard about this.

How do you set up databases for an addon domain?

    Dear goodmove,

Iam not sure the way you followed in creating the database. For creating database for addon domains, you need to create the database in the database menu under cpanel and then, use this database. It is the same database as the main domain. ( MySQL cannot handle database name containing characters like \"-\". You cannot use such characters while database creation).

    Regards,
