Set up subdomains

    You have to set up wildchar subdomains for that. Add the wild char entries to nameddb and httpd.conf. But at the same time, please make sure that the valid subdomain entries in the httpd.conf has to come before the wildcgar entries if the subdomains have to work.

    Thanks for the response, but it went way over my knowledge of cpanel.

    I have tried to enter a wildcard subdomain but will not allow me to so I can redirect it.

    Is it possible to do it under Cpanel?

    If you do have the root password, you can do it by editing the DNS zone for that domain. But you will need to manually edit the httpd.conf to accomplish the full capability of the wildchar subdomain. You can't do that from the cpanel of that domain.

    Don't feel bad. I've been running a cPanel server for 3 years and I didn't even know the wildcard feature in Apache/BIND even existed! :D

    Unless Aby spells it out for us, I'll have to hit google and see what turns up.
