Hi. I am really struggling here setting up cpanel on my server. Is there a guide out there from installing the operating system and then installing cpanel.

    I am using CENTOS 4.5 x86.

    Thanks,
    Nathaniel

cPanel has some official documentation on setup.

You may also want to consider getting a professional service to help set it up for you.

Hi. The trouble i am having is getting cpanel to work with SSL. I install the real basics on the server and then SSH into it. I then give it the download script for cpanel which works. I am trying to get a 2day rebate for my home cpanel licence. I can get to WHM where it says there is a licence problem. But i can not go HTTPS:// only HTTP://

    What am i doing wrong?

I am using CENTOS4.5 X86. IS there anything i needed to install in on the server?

    Thanks,
    Nathaniel

If you're using a firewall on your server (like APF), make sure ports 2083 and 2087 are open.

(If that's the case, I'd recommend changing to ConfigServer Firewall, you can configure it from withing WHM rather than through shell!)
