I recently got a request from a client asking if it were possible to set up multiple passwords for a single email account, so in case they lose the password, they don't have to change that password on the other devices that are automatically being signed in.

Alternatively, is there a way to decrypt the password that located in /home/#user/etc/#domain/shadow

Kind Regards

It is not possible to set up multiple passwords for a single email account. This would be a huge security issue, instead of the possibility of one password being compromised you would be looking at multiple. I can't see a way this would ever be something that would be implemented or wanted from that standpoint.

The 3rd party link here Understanding /etc/shadow file - nixCraft explains how shadow files are encrypted

For example the file you're referencing starts with $6$ which is SHA-512 which is one way hashing and cannot be decrypted
