    Hi,

    I know that you can set-up e-mail aliases in cpanel, but I need to migrate a site over that uses alises as 'groups', forwarding to more than 1 recipient.

    eg.
    alias@domain.com -> me@hotmail.com, you@yahoo.com, pop@domain.com, alias45@domain.com

    How do I achieve this one with cpanel or do I have to change .forward files on the server?

    Any help, info and ideas would be appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Af.

    If you want to do this using cpanel just setup a forward for each one.

    So using your example:

    alias@domain.com -> me@hotmail.com, you@yahoo.com, pop@domain.com, alias45@domain.com

    You would setup:

    alias@domain.com -> me@hotmail.com
    alias@domain.com -> you@yahoo.com
    alias@domain.com -> pop@domain.com
    alias@domain.com -> alias45@domain.com

    In the end what's created in the valiases file will look like:

    alias@domain.com: me@hotmail.com, you@yahoo.com, pop@domain.com, alias45@domain.com

    You could do this manually by editing the /etc/valiases/domain.com file if you don't want to use cpanel.

    Thanks!

    I was afraid it'd be something simple like that! :rolleyes:
