Just wanted to double check that how I set things up is correct.

We have WHM installed on domain1.com. Default nameservers are ns1.domain1.com and ns2.domain1.com.

There is an account for domain2.com. We want to use nameservers ns1.domain2.com and ns2.domain2.com.

The DNS Zone for domain2.com has NS records for ns1.domain1.com and ns2.domain1.com. We edited the DNS zone to also have ns1.domain2.com and ns2.domain2.com.

Will this set-up work if we change nameservers with the domain registrar to ns1.domain2.com and ns2.domain2.com? Or are other steps needed?

Hello :)

Yes, those steps are acceptable, except you should ensure you also create "A" records NS1/NS2 in the DNS zone of "domain2". Also, make sure you create the name servers at the registrar before attempting to use them at the registrar.

Thank you.
