:p Helo

I have added in a test reseller account and im wondering how to go about setting up dns name servers for this test reseller (example ns1.testresellerdomain.com ns2.testresellerdomain.com) I have given test reseller account reseller privileges and am wondering what to do next. Is all I need to do enter Edit Reseller Privileges/Nameservers for that test reseller account and add the primary/secondary nameserver and assign the 2 ips for them nameservers/ add A record? Do you need to use 2 new ips for every 2 nameservers you add in?

Thanking Yous for any help

While in Reseller section look to very bottom of the page. Where it says &Primary Nameserver& enter &NS1.yourdomain.com& for example. Then click the &Assign& button and the first (or lowest numbered) available IP address assigned to you will be used. Then click the &Add A entry& button. Repeat steps for Secondary Nameserver.

Thanks Rob !!!

What I think confused me was I had seen somewhere that you dont need to keep using 2 new ips everytime you add a resellers nameservers and I could not see how to do that. Is that just nonsense I heard ? Also is that all you would do then nothing else ? :p

The main Reseller Main Shared/Ipless Ip setting for the testreseller would just be the main server shared one wouldnt it ?(the main server ip at the top in edit setup)

Once you set the testreseller nameservers would they be listed in manage nameserver ips automatically ?

Would the testreseller domain need to be hosted on one of its 2 ips it uses for its nameservers or could it just be hosted on the main server shared ip?

Thank you for the help Rob. :)

As far as Nameservers go, Yes.

Using 2 IPs means you can allow Resellers to have &Anonymous Nameservers& -- one IP is Dedicated to their Domain Name and one IP is used by them for Name Based accounts. This way allows the Reseller to give &their& Clients, Nameservers that point back to the Reseller -- not to the Server itself. Make sure (within the Reseller section of WHM) to use the &Manage Reseller Main Shared/Ipless Ip& to assign an IP. Also make sure, it is &not the same IP& as the one used for Reseller Dedicated.

Yes

See above. Best to use one of the Reseller Nameservers as a Dedicated for the Reseller. This is not a problem as an IP can be both, a Nameserver IP and a Dedicated IP.

Thank you for the help Rob. :)
