    hy,

today I've set up my new server.
I've installed red hat 8.0 server installation and after that I installed cpanel like I did it with my first server.

during the installation a lot of errors about apache appeared.. and now apache is shown red in the whm/service status.

updating on cpanel 7 didn't helped.

/scripts/easyapache gives me some errors about not founded directories and so on..

I'm confused and have no idea how to get apache working.

Does anyone else have this problems?

    Any suggestions?

I opened a ticket but no response yet.

    greetz, dave.

Everyone with RH8 had same problem this morning.

WHM - Software - Install an RPM

    Reinstall:

    - glib
    - glib-common

    In the above order!

Make sure you select both "Ignore Dependicies" and "Force Install (required if reinstalling a package)"

    Then, restart apache...

    This worked for me.

the problem is, that there is no apache on my system..

e.g. shutting apache down gives me that error:

Jun 27 17:17:37 localhost httpd: Herunterfahren von httpd failed Jun 27 17:26:35 localhost httpd: Herunterfahren von httpd failed Jun 27 17:35:14 localhost httpd: Herunterfahren von httpd failed Jun 27 17:43:53 localhost httpd: Herunterfahren von httpd failed Jun 27 17:52:33 localhost httpd: Herunterfahren von httpd failed httpd has failed, please contact the sysadmin.

or /scripts/easyapache gives me something like that:

    and so on..

    what is to do?

is it possible to reinstall cpanel and overwrite the existing installation?

I solved the problem. I've reinstalled Cpanel. Little HOWTO:

    login in ssh

    now all works fine...

I did exactly the same like in my first install.. no idea what the problem was.. anyway.. it works now :)
