Hi,

i am getting this error while installing ssl on server host name

The domain “XXXX” is not managed on this server. You must specify an IP address to install SSL for “hostname” or set up this domain on a new account, or create it as parked domain, a subdomain, or an addon domain of an existing account, and try again.

But the a record in updated in domain dns which is hosted on the same server could any one help you on this please

Thanks

May I ask why you want to use Let's Encrypt? We provide by default a free 1 year SSL for the hostname through Sectigo.

Also, I believe that tutorial is invalid, while the first steps do indeed work for site SSL certificates they (as far as I know) do not apply to the hostname SSL. It also assumes you already have an SSL for the hostname issued by Let's Encrypt.

1. The process to install the SSL runs automatically, if the hostname resolves properly you shouldn't actually need to do anything.

2. You can potentially get information on why the hostname may be failing the check by running
Code:
 /usr/local/cpanel/bin/checkallsslcerts --verbose --allow-retry
