I'm using the digitalocean's cpanel server from their marketplace. It comes installed with mod_ruid2. The problem is it's causing errors using user:user for the public_html directory.

Code:
[Thu Jul 30 06:58:10.025303 2020] [core:crit] [pid 877] (13)Permission denied: [client 138.246.253.15:56114] AH00529: /home/user/public_html/.htaccess pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable and that '/home/user/public_html/' is executable
I've been using user:nobody to solve this.So what is the proper way to use mod_ruid2 and avoid this error?

The thread here goes over this: pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file

ruid2 +CGI is the default on installation, there is no reason you have to keep these though. You can use a configuration more comfortable to you, you can make these changes in WHM>>Software>>EasyApache4
