I get the Setup Server wizard in the left frame every time I log in to WHM, even though I've configuered everything already. What's the deal?

Does anyone know where the switch is where I can turn off the initial setup wizard?

    Re:

    hi,
if your box is properly configured you don't need to worry about the available option for initial setup. Root whm will always have that link on left pane.

there are also other options in root whm which you don't need to use after yoru box is configured.
editing the WHM template and removing these links can be a mess for your future needs.

    regards,
    mohit

    Thanks for the reply, mohit.

Sorry if I wasn't more clear before, but I'm not talking about a mere link.

Every time I log in to WHM, the left panel displays the first step in the initial setup process with a Next button and a Finish button. The regular menu is completely gone. I have to click Finish every time before I get the regular menu in the left pane.

Sounds to me like you have not completed the setup successfully and therefore it keeps askijng for it to be done again.

Yep, there are quite a few steps involved. Are you sure you've proceeded through everything correctly?

Yep, I've followed everything according to the documentation, and the setup appears to go without a glich. I don't get any errors, and I get a friendly, setup-is-complete message at the end.

Then the next time I log in, it starts back at step 2. All my settings are in tact, but I have to click the Finish button in the left frame to get to the menu

    Go on, have a guess
That's odd. Are you logging in using a bookmark? If so, don't and login by typing in the address incase that book mark is wrong.

If the problem persists, I'd suggest logging a ticket with cPanel through your license provider.

    Well I'll be...

When I save the bookmark in IE, it automatically adds a forward slash to the end of the URL. The forward slash was the cause.

Thanks a million for the tip!

Here's a good tip: In Google Chrome, you may need to clear your browser history, at least I had to
