Sever load goes way up when FrontPage publishing PDFs.

Lately I have seen occasions where someone is attempting to publish a site that contains PDF files, using FrontPage. The server then immediately sky-rockets up past 30 load average, then their publishing efforts time-out.

Anyone else notice this?
