Sever load spikes, crashing -- Cp-Wrap the culprit?

    We've been investigating this for some time now, and I may have found a correlation between some strange server load spikes (jumping form a 1.00 avg to upwards of 100.00) around the time that these messages begin to appear in /var/log/secure:
    Does anyone have any idea what might be going on here?

    cpwrap is a very simple wrapper, I doubt it is causing the problem. We can provide you the source code to it for your review if you sign our standard NDA.

    Looks like it could be mysql releated though.

    7.1.5 builds will have a more optimized mysql manager

    i found a load of the following in my server logs right before a crash. server seemed up just everything would time out waiting for a reponse.

    ...........and it keeps on going for about a half hour, all the way up until everything completly stopped responding.
