Hi, I've read many posts to try to determine if the folder permission structure that I am trying to set up is possible but I haven't found anything definitive.

I would like to make a folder containing images available to a number of FTP users. But I would like to create subfolders within that folder that are restricted to certain users.

eg. The initial folder for each FTP user would be /images.

But the subfolders would be secured:
/images/account01 accessed only by FTP user account01user1@mydomain.com
/images/account02 accessed only by FTP user [email]account02user1@mydomain.com
/images/account03 accessed only by FTP user [email]account03user1@mydomain.com
/images/account03 accessed only by FTP user [email]account03user2@mydomain.com

We have tried to configure this but the subfolders always seem to be accessible by all FTP users who have access to the parent folder.

Any help would be most appreciated.

    Thanks.

As the folders starting with account are under sub folder images, it won't be possible to restrict it. It is because you have already provided access to images folder to these FTP accounts.

    Hello :)

You could create individual FTP accounts and only grant those accounts access to a specific subdirectory, however as mentioned, you can't grant access to a higher level directory and then limit access to directories beneath it.

    Thank you.
