    I have a shared SSL cert that i allow my clients to use. For some reason today, it stopped working. The message it shows is:

    Access Not Allowed from this Domain
    You are attempting to access a user dir from a domain that is not owned by the user. Please correct the domain that you are attempting to use to access this url.

    It has been working perfectly up until today. There were no httpd changes. I do use UserDir disabled but it does not block port 443 so that shouldnt be the cause.

    This is the entry in httpd for the domain:

    <IfDefine SSL>
    <VirtualHost 192.168.1.1:443>
    ServerAdmin webmaster@secure.domain.com
    DocumentRoot /usr/local/apache/htdocs
    BytesLog domlogs/secure.domain.com-bytes_log
    ServerName secure.domain.com
    CustomLog /usr/local/apache/domlogs/secure.domain.com-ssl_log "%t %{version}c %{cipher}c %{clientcert}c"
    SSLEnable
    SSLCertificateFile /usr/share/ssl/certs/secure.domain.com.crt
    SSLCertificateKeyFile /usr/share/ssl/private/secure.domain.com.key
    SSLLogFile /var/log/secure.domain.com
    # UserDir public_html
    SetEnvIf User-Agent ".*MSIE.*" nokeepalive ssl-unclean-shutdown
    </VirtualHost>
    </IfDefine>

    Any ideas on why it does not work?

    You need to disable bw_protect mod.

    Go to http.conf, comment it out by # and restart apache. It will work after.

    The two lines to comment out are

    LoadModule bwprotect_module libexec/mod_bwprotect.so

    AddModule mod_bwprotect.c

    i had mod_bwprotect on the whole time and it didnt cause any problems. Wonder why out of nowhere it does now.

    Well, commenting out bwprotect kinda worked.

    https://secure.domain.com/~user shows my users site but it does not bring up the lock logo on the browser. The weird thing is, when you first start loading the site, the lock will be there but after it full loads it disappears.

    https://secure.domain.com shows the lock throughout.

    any thoughts on this?

    ok got it to work somewhat.

    THe lock stays on the browser if the pages are htm and html. For all other extensions the lock disappears.

    Definitely weird.

    Can anyone shed some light on this?
