Should ModSecurity Configuration SecConnEngine be set to on?

I currently have Connections Engine SecConnEngine set to 'Process the rules'. I have just added and enabled vendor OWASP ModSecurity Core Rule Set V3.0. Is there something in OWASP that overwrites that.

I noticed that I have SecConnEngine set ON and was wondering if I should just leave it like that and if it matters or not. Thanks for the help.

If you want the rules to be processed (meaning the actions within them taken) then you would want to set it to on
