Shutting down exim [FAILED]

    They know as to decide this problem?:confused:

    is exim even running?

    ps aux |grep exim

    If you see anything, do a killall -9 exim and then try a restart. You also might want to check the logs to see if there's an issue with configuration

    I'm having the same problem. Any way to trace to see why it failed?

    You could check

    /var/log/exim_mainlog

    for what exactly is happening
