    Hi

Anyone know what signal 11 (Segmentation fault) are?

Trying to pipe email to a php script and keep getting the following error:

    pipe to |/home/*******/public_html/helpdesk/admin/pop3pipe.php
    generated by ushere@ourserver.com
Child process of virtual_address_pipe transport (running command "/home/*******/public_html/helpdesk/admin/pop3pipe.php") was terminated by signal 11 (Segmentation fault)

    Kind Regards,

    Neil

I don't know either, but I'm getting a "Command Terminated on Signal 11" from SSH when trying to log in to the machine. Anyone have any clues?

seg faults aren't really all that good. Could mean a myriad of things, but you may want to check to ensure your RAM & hard disks integrity. After that, you may want to make sure that your file system hasn't experienced any corruption.

Hi Neil - did you manage to resolve this? We have had the same issue with Kayako eSupport since upgrading to version 4.1 and PHP 4.4.0.

    Thanks :)

    Try recompiling apache.

/scripts/easyapache , option 7, then select and extra PHP modules you need.

    Segmentation fault with email piping

Here is a more complete fault description:

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We updated our servers last week from php 4.3.11 and MySQL 4.0.25 to php 4.4.0 and MySQL 4.1.13. We are now having a problem with the email piping in eSupport (version 2.3.5). Email is being piped through to the helpdesk (eSupport) and a ticket / auto-reply is being generated, however an additional bounce message is being created and sent to the customer.

The bounce message says the following:

    pipe to |/home/USERNAME/public_html/support/admin/pop3pipe.php
    generated by support@OURDOMAIN.com
    local delivery failed

    And the mail logs report:

    2005-10-14 10:57:41 1EQMJk-0003F8-Py ** |/home/USERNAME/public_html/support/admin/pop3pipe.php (support@OURDOMAIN.com) <
support@OURDOMAIN.com> F= P= R=virtual_aliases_nostar T=virtual_address_pipe: Child process of virtual_address_pipe transport (running command "/home/USERNAME/public_html/support/admin/pop3pipe.php") was terminated by signal 11 (Segmentation fault)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any help would be very much appreciated! We have already tried recompiling / reinstalling apache / php, exim, WHM (to latest stable and release), Zend, and MySQL. The server is running CentOS 3.5.

No-one have any ideas? We have updated PHP to 4.4.1, and the latest stable cPanel release, but still no joy. Kayako say this is an MTA issue and refuse to help :(

We did have the same problem, but we found the problem in our case.

    grep exp /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
    # the order below without expert advice.
    #LoadModule expires_module libexec/mod_expires.so
    #AddModule mod_expires.c

After disabling the expire module, we don't have any errors anymore with php
    version 4.4.0

Thanks Alex - I just tried this but unfortunately the problem still exists. We will keep searching for an answer :)
