So i installed the trial version of cpanal and its working great. I am wondering, does Cpanel change the document root for the main site on the server? i had all my documents in the /var/www/html folder and it doesn't show up on the server. Before i had cpanel it worked great. So i dont understand where to put all my server documents for the main site on the server. Thanks.

You can use WHM and create an account then the web directory would be /home/username/public_html . The default pages are located /usr/local/apache/htdocs . This is generally a 'no site here' type of page.
