oh man... I wrote a big msg after this forums says a stupid message and dont post it and cannot let me go back... so.....

there's a lot of news... download from here:

http://whmcas.cascompany.com/simpleCP

it's 95% source, so you can translate it on your own lang.
also, you can use mnu() & lnk2() funcions to make your own menues like:

mnu(&Server Setup&);
lnk2(&http://mylink.com&,&Custom Link&);
lnk2(&http://mylink.com&,&Custom Link&);
lnk2(&http://mylink.com&,&Custom Link&);

I will make the long thread again when I have more time.. uff.

Regards.

Having been using SimpleCP for awhile now, I must admit that I enjoy it. What I don't understand though, why is there is no mention (within it somewhere) of what version it is? Would it not be easy to add that to the top-left frame, instead of &Web Host Manager v5.0.0 Simple CP&?

I realize an image is currently used, but cannot see where it would be a problem to modify.

I've also noticed that all themes, for some reason, feel the need to take up space at the top of the main frame, with the declaration of WHM version and other info. I just don't understand that, it is un-necessary repetition (IMHO) and should be mentioned somewhere else. Top-left frame is what comes to my mind, but that's just a suggestion.

&what do you think about the new source format with functions for menues & links and super small size?&

Whatever version I have now (WHM E90) I like for font size. It's one of the reasons I stopped using Xskins -- font size is way too small for me.

I also wanted to ask, as I have checked for &Install and Keep Updated&, there is no need to download from somewhere else -- is there?

Website Rob :
Thanks for your comments! :)

so let see... I think that the version would be a nice idea (so you know what one you're using) ... this is directly related with the &install & keep updated& ... as I really dont know what version if any is put there... (anyone knows if this is updated?)

the WHM version is very important, (more than the simpleCP version ... hehe) so I think this will be there for a while.
Also, the top header on simpleCP was made this way with the idea that people replace the actual image (the one that says simpleCP/WHM ...) with their own one with your hosting company info.... (not for you the admin, but for the resellers...)

and about....
&&&& what do you think about the new source format with functions for menues & links and super small size?&

LOL... not the FONT SIZE... the THEME SIZE!! in kbytes! (it's very very small in size, so it loads very fast, ideal for SSL)

Also the menues & links is refered to the functions to create your own menues & links inside simpleCP left menu.
it's very easy, and you'll have your own custom menues in the exactly same format as all the other ones ;)

....so... one thing I will do is to add the simpleCP version on the top-left where it reads WebHost Manager | Powered by simpleCP2 ... will read something like WebHost Manager | simpleCP2 #.#.#-##

and well... btw, is not hard to install it manually.... there's a very simple install.txt on the site and readme.txt to do it ;)

Regards.

What can I say? I &do& like the Font size and lots of other things as well. LOL

Glad to hear the version number will be included and as for WHM version info, mentioning it once in the left-hand frame should allow removing it from the right-hand frame, no? Giving more room for reading is always a good thing when less scrolling is involved.

I realize having it there makes it easy to customize (the right-hand frame) but come on, if someone doesn't know how to edit an HMTL page, what they heck are they doing running WHM? j/k, sort of. :D

New version has been downloaded and shall see what I can do for customizing/upgrading. BTW, did you know http://cascp.cascompany.com/ doesn't show anything but the BG image in the left-hand frame -- command.phtml? Not to minimize what you are trying to do with your ' script LANGUAGE=&JScript.Encode& ', but Mozilla just don't like it.

Whenever using XHMTL, always best to inlcude a DTD:

&!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC &-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN&
&http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd&&
&html xmlns=&http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml& lang=&en& xml:lang=&en&&

heh :)

sorry for this, but you will not be able to view encoded files using Mozilla. (that's why you dont see anything but the BG). Look at it on IE, if you like it you can buy the source version ;) that's not IE only.

About the header... maybe it's big... dunno, but It looks very well on a 1024x768 or 1280x1024 screen (if you have less than this, what are you doing running WHM? LOL)
Also, for people that dont know HTML, they just need to replace the HEADER GIF File for another one... and voilá, it's customized to their own company ;)

Thanks again for your comments.

Love your theme but one of our users was just reporting that this theme does not work with Netscrape. Here is what he says:

Hi,

A head's up about the theme labeled &simpleCP&.

That one does not work in the latest Mozilla/Netscape, and of course I'm sure none of the old ones (if you still use the old netscapes, REPENT!!).

It works in IE only apparently.

just an FYI. (I found out the hard way)

Thanks for the theme...it is very nice. I am curious though, is this a theme for ONLY whm or is there a cpanel equivilent as well? After installing I'm not seeing a 'simpleCP' show up as an available CP theme.

Thanks,

Updated

Well, I've updated it with new links (3) added on Cpanel 6.x

Also, sorry for the delays, but Cpanel is not updating the "whm changes" file where it's supposed to post the changes on whm... so well.

ozzi4648, no, it works only on IE.
You can buy a version that works on other browsers (source version), mail me for more info.

Regards.

Hi Cas,

I think your file permissions are incorrect as I keep getting a 403 Forbidden error!

Kind Regards,

Neil

oops.

You're right... :p

It's fixed now.
btw, if any of you know some changed link and/or added link ... you can let me know at [email protected], and I'll modify the skin and upload the new one.
The problem was cPanel team not updating the file I was looking for updates... :)

Are they updating it now again ? or not ?

I think NO .. :(
