Does anyone know why this may be happenning, or how to debug it?

Alot of my sites, will not show up in some parts of the country.
For example, if you go to http://www.alertra.com - and enter steelpanda.com - noyen.org - manyatta.com - etc. into the spotcheck, they are found just fine everywhere except los angeles. Lots of my users are e-mailing in asking why some people can't view their site. And it's not just people from LA.

So can anyone help me out with this, or atleast point me in the right direction on where to get some answers? I'm desperate!

    Thanks alot.

Give us some background. Are these new sites? Have you changed the server IP recently? Did you change the sites' IPs recently?

I'm having the exact problem on my network. Now I know the other day for a few hours I had to block 24.*.*.* and 12.*.*.* due to DOS attacks, but I dropped the iptables (flush) and people are still complaining from different Isps.

IS THIS DEDICATED NOW!?!?   :(

I ma seeing the same problems on my pwebtech and DN servers.

    Just from LA area.

I think it is a network issue.

I'm seeing problems from the westin building in seattle, WA. I also cant get LA to resolve any of my domains. So I don't think it is a DN or NAC issue.

DNS issues really can't be related to a network unless the network is unreachable. Of course, we all know that we should have geographically & network separate nameservers.

Try dnsreport.com for a quick & dirty evaluation of your DNS.

I am having the EXACT problem...I am located in FL, and reseller in NC. Sometimes I cannot view his sites and he can, and other times vice versa.

I went to alertra.com and Los Angeles is unable to resolve the sites I cannot view. Right now, I am unable to view the sites but my reseller can. He did not know about this until some of his customers told him that they cannot view their own sites or his.

Yes, the domains are fairly new. There are 4 domains that are having this problem.

    Thanks.

    **UPDATE**
Maybe that Microsoft worm that going around is causing this?
