Site Email being sent on to old owner

Hello

I recently bought a website 2.5 months ago called www.tasmanianhorse.com
I am slowly working the Cpanel out.....except for this current problem.
I sent a test email to tasmanianhorse.com to check which mail account
it would end up in, only to receive an email from the previous owner asking
if all was ok.
I explained the email to him, to which he had no idea???
I am really hoping that someone on here is able to point me in the right direction
or list some possible areas to look into?

checklist:

1. Is the domain and MX record setup correctly at the registrar?
2. Is the email account setup on the hosting server?

These are the normally mistake.

If what Brendanrtg says didnt work, you could check that the Default Address in Cpanel is not set to the previous owners address?


Or are you talking about the Contact form on the site?

If its the contact form just go to the File Manager > public_html and edit the contact_us.php file to change the old address to the one you want to use.
