    Hi,

I have just installed my cPanel license and setup my OVH Dedi server, but noticed that FTP slow down after uploading some few files.

I have tried both Pure-FTPd and Pro-FTPd, they both the same, have tried stand FTP and FTPES.
I noticed if I restart the FTP service, it speeds up then goes slow again.

The only thing that seems to work is SFTP and uploads quickly.

I am running CSF, with the corrent passive range in the TCP_IN field.

I have also noticed this with other cPanel hosts as well.

    The server spec is:
    CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1270v6 - 4c/8t - 3.8GHz /4.2GHz
    RAM: 32GB DDR4 ECC 2400 MHz
    Disks: SoftRaid 2x450GB SSD NVMe

    Hello,

It seems like it could be an issue with your local connection to the FTP service if you notice the issue with multiple servers. Have you reproduced the issue from other systems to rule out any problems with your own Internet connection?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

No, I haven't, but can try with my mobile phone internet on 4G and see, if it the same or not.
I will report back, once I have tested it.

No major issue with using SFTP for now, but would like to get to the bottom of it, as it never use to be like that.

    Hi,

Just decided on the off chance to reboot my home router, and it seems to have fixed the issue
Well that teach me, reboot everything next time, my end.

Never seen that sort of issue before o_O, works then slows, stop it then restart it and works a bit more, then slow.

    Now I am sorted
