"Smart URL's" and apache upgrade...

    Hi, we have a customer whos site uses links like this...

    Instead of using a question mark, id guess something like this

    Since I upgraded the server to apache 2 - the links have stopped working, they just take you back to the home page.

    There were some rewrite rules in her htaccess file that I have commented out but this has had no effect on the links.

    This is an area I am unfamiliar with - is there an easy way to rectify it ? Does it depend on the PHP application she is using ?

    Usually it's mod_rewrite that is used for this. What is the application (or is it homegrown) ?
