    Good morning,

I am currently in progress of setting up Interspire Email Marketer which requires our servers SMTP settings however when i send a test email i receive this error "mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 550 Unable to relay". Interspires troubleshoot support states SMTP authentication needs to be set up, however after much searching I haven't found a solution. Is it possible to get some advice on how to fix this problem?

    The exact error says
I've been informed i can use a static IP however we cannot use this method.

I've been searching for a solution to this for a while and have been unsuccessful so thought i would try here.

    Many thanks

    Michael

The message indicates that the email account doesn't exist:

    Code:
The email account that you tried to reach does not exist.

Can you try the following commands in root SSH on the server?

    Code:
    exim -bt email@domain.com
    exigrep email@domain.com /var/log/exim_mainlog
Please replace email@domain.com with the email account name for the account on your server. Also, you might want to check the gmail address with the same commands. The message really seems to indicate that the gmail address itself is the one that doesn't exist.
