Friends, I have been using cPanel since the dawn of time. But this my first attempt to running my own cPanel installation, and so far, so good. Topology consists of a couple of load-balanced, DSL connections. But I'm having some strageness occur here, I'm finding that I'm being prompted, for a new password for an email accounts, frequently. Another issue I seem to be having is some of the SMTP-connection issue, which seems to be intermittent, ? Any suggestions?
Hey there! Can you let me know if this password issue is happening in webmail or in clients like Outlook or Thunderbird? That would make a difference as to where to look for potential issues, but you could always check /var/log/maillog to see if there is any odd behavior there.
Can you describe what problems you're seeing with the SMTP connections on the machine as well? /var/log/maillog is also a good place to check for those issues as that shows user logins, which could expose potential connection problems.
