I might not be the brightest bulb on the tree when it comes to Cpanel, but I need some feedback cuz i just don't get it. :>

if you create an email account, it returns your login is username+domain.com. If you use username+domain.com in Outlook Express it works for incoming mail but doesn't work for outgoing mail when authenticating to the SMTP server. I even tried using the "Add this account to Outlook Express Config".

If you change the login to username@domain.com instead of the +, it authenticates fine on the SMTP server and email is sent successfully. When using the username as the full email address with the @ instead of the + for POP3, it also recieves fine. I've been giving out email addresses in the format of username+domain.com.

Why does Cpanel echo the username after the account creation with a + when it just causes issues? Why not use the @ instead?

    Any feedback would be cool.
