The from and reply-to addresses would be set in whatever mail or webmail application you are using, not cPanel itself.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your reply.
However, there are areas where the replyto address cannot be specified. I am refering to an iphone.
For example, when using the gmail smtp server from the iphone it will actually specify "email@gmail.com on the behalf of email@alias.com". The alias can be specified in the gmail account settings.
I was hoping to imitate this function with horde or an eventual smtp setting, but I can't find such a setting. The gmail option is great, but I would like to get rid of the "on the behalf of" part.
    Thank you for any ideas.
    Cheers

If you are not using cpanel to send your mail, then you cannot alter any headers.

It sounds like you are using gmail servers, so therefore, you would want to check all the settings at gmail. cPanel's only function is your setup is to forward mail to gmail.

    Same problem

I have the same "on behalf of" problem. Other than that, the
gmail alias strategy works flawlessly. I have Googled this
behalf issue and followed the instructions here:

    http://macapper.com/2008/03/06/3677/

Still have the "behalf of" string and just learned to live with it.
Would love any advice on this as well.

    Many Thanks

    Steve
