    Hello,

I get the following error when I try to use TLS on SMTP:

    STARTTLS
454 TLS not available due to temporary reason

    I do:

    telnet hostname 25
    EHLO
    STARTTLS

    and end up with that.

Anyone else have this problem? If so, is your SMTP TLS working? I tried openning port 465 on the firewall but it didnt seem to help.

I've found this issue with the latest exim build and can only assume that cPanel have incorrectly compled STARTTLS support on the default port 25. The alternative is to use TLS over port 465 instead.

Is there no way to test that other than using a client?

No that I am aware of, because you have to negotiate a certificate exchange.
