snmp tools - easyapache or yum?

I need to install snmp-tools to be used with mrtg.

I see in the easyapache snmp is available for apache compilation but with the warning "SNMP: requires the SNMP Dev libraries to be installed first!!!"

With yum I can see the following RPMs:

yum search snmp
Loaded plugins: rhnplugin, security
rhel-i386-server-5 | 1.3 kB 00:00
rhel-i386-server-supplementary-5 | 1.3 kB 00:00

============================================================================ Matched: snmp =============================================================================
arpwatch.i386 : Network monitoring tools for tracking IP addresses on a network.
net-snmp.i386 : A collection of SNMP protocol tools and libraries.
net-snmp-devel.i386 : The development environment for the NET-SNMP project.
net-snmp-libs.i386 : The NET-SNMP runtime libraries.
net-snmp-perl.i386 : The perl NET-SNMP module and the mib2c tool.
net-snmp-utils.i386 : Network management utilities using SNMP, from the NET-SNMP project.
ipalert.i386 : ipalert snmp monitoring tool
openhpi-subagent.i386 : The openhpi snmp subagent
Do you recommend install the net-snmp-devel.i386 and compile apache before or install net-snmp.i386 and net-snmp-utils.i386 directly with yum and not compile anything?

Thanks in advance!
