snmp tools - easyapache or yum?

    Hello,

    I need to install snmp-tools to be used with mrtg.

    I see in the easyapache snmp is available for apache compilation but with the warning "SNMP: requires the SNMP Dev libraries to be installed first!!!"

    With yum I can see the following RPMs:

    Do you recommend install the net-snmp-devel.i386 and compile apache before or install net-snmp.i386 and net-snmp-utils.i386 directly with yum and not compile anything?

    The snmp stuff in easyapache is for the php libraries - so you have to have snmp-utils installed in order for php to use it. Therefore, install snmp via yum, then run easyapache.
