So many defunct httpd on server, causing slow opening of webpages!!

    Hello All,
    I have very slow opening of webpages on server.I think the problem is 'Coz of so many defuct httpd in the top output.
    HEre is my apache logs say :

    What is this?What should I do?What is the cause of so many defunct httpd?

    Location:
    Braga, Portugal
    That means that there is a logfile larger than 2Gb.
    Try running /scripts/biglogcheck and check if this is true :D
