Hi,

I've got a problem to install some softwares via Softaculous, Especially when the software requires a PHP extension.

For example, Prestashop requires the FileInfo extension.

This one is present in the phpinfo :
- Removed -

The option is checked in the cPanel PHP configuration :
- Removed -

But can not install Prestashop :
- Removed -

So I contacted softaculous support, He replied that Softaculous uses the Cagefs binary for checking loaded extension.

So the module is not loaded. So Softaculous support tells me to contact cPanel support that's why I post here.

The problem is that until recently Softaculous worked very well and suddenly it no longer works on our two cPanel servers.

I think the problem has appeared since the recent update of Softaculous or a recent cPanel update.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem? An idea to solve it?

Thank you in advance

Hello,

You have to run the "cagefsctl --update" command any time you have modified the php.ini file, or you want to get new/updated software inside CageFS. This is documented at:

CloudLinux Documentation

Let us know if that helps to address the issue.

Thank you.

I finally got a response from softaculous.

They were able to reproduce the problem on their test server.

It seems that the problem has appeared after a recent update of cPanel.

The Softaculous team should propose a patch soon
