We are considering in getting a solid state disk drive for our cPanel server and would love to receive some feedback on this.
    • Has anyone else tried these disks on a cPanel box?
    • To make the best use of them and since they are pretty expensive, we considered using this drive only for the MySQL databases of our clients. Is it possible to configure cPanel to do this?

You can put mysql on a separate drive and it works fine. As for the performance of a solid state drive for mysql, you may want to check the benchmark test results for the drive type & mfg you are considering.
