Hi there, hoping someone can help.

I have an application installed on domain1.com

I want customers to be able to acceess a folder from domain1.com from subdomain.website2.com

This can easily be done with a addon domain. The problem is I need subdomain.website2.com use SSL.

I can't figure out how to install a cert on subdomain.website2.com whtout having it joint to subdomain.domain1.com

These domains are on the same server, but are different accounts.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello :)

Could you let us know how you are installing the certificate, and which versions of the OS and cPanel are installed on your system?

    Thank you.

I installed the certificate from the WHM panel using "Install an SSL Certificate on a Domain"

    CENTOS 6.7 x86_64
    WHM 11.52.2 (build 1)

It works for a single addon subdomain, but when I go to add additional subdomains with the same name, it will not allow me to because a subdomain with that name has already been created for domain1.com.

When I create an addon domain for domain2.com eg.

example.domain2.com WHM automatically creates example.domain1.com as well. And when I look at "Manage SSL Hosts" it shows both

both example.domain2.com and example.domain1.com domains under one cert.

When I try and add example.domain3.com as an addon domain, it will not let me because example.domain1.com already exists.

Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome.

    Thank you.
