How the hell can you download files with putty?

Is there a way to see all the hdd with a ftp account?

why when people connect to the ftp do they see so many folders? is there a way i can make it so they can just see some of the more used ones?

is there somthing i can do to make the demo moad safe from the temp thing?

I think thats about it, im shore ill come up with more )

Thanks fellz, ill get the hang of it one day.

    Hi there,

    for you 5 questions:

    1. /usr/local/cpanel i guess this is what you want.

    2. Download with putty? You cant. Try using WinSCP - http://winscp.sourceforge.net/eng

    3. Once again, the best way for you is WinSCP.

    4. They see the necessary files, but you can change that (i do not recommend that).

    5. Well, demo mode is not secure, but you can chmod the /home/demo dir, you can disable phpmyadmin access...

    Hope this helps.

    Regards

Assuming you are the server owner, not a reseller, cpanel skins (files) are at:
    /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/themename

Again, if you are the server owner, you can look at, and download, everything with WinSCP.

Resellers can't do either of these.

not sure what version you are on, but from putty after logging in type mc and hit enter. Stands for midnight commander i believe and you might like what you see. There is other stuff also, but take it slow.
